Her paddle journey began in Annapolis, Maryland, where Mackenzie discovered her love for SUP in 2015 at CapitalSUP.

From the moment she stepped on a paddleboard, Mackenzie felt an immediate connection and was captivated by the thrill and serenity of being on the water. Her enthusiasm led her to pursue certifications, and by the following summer, she had completed her WPA (World Paddle Association) SUP Instructor certification and SUP yoga certification. She even competed in local and nationwide races.

Mackenzie spent five years at Capital SUP, playing an integral role in the development and growth of their programming. She was instrumental in the creation and success of Grom Camp, a kids' water sports camp.  Additionally, Mackenzie was a driving force behind the introduction of unique event offerings such as SUP dance and one of many fantastic SUP yoga instructors. These innovative activities provided participants with a fun and engaging way to explore the benefits of SUP beyond recreational paddling.

Upon relocating to New York City, Mackenzie wasted no time getting involved at Manhattan Kayak Company. Her versatility and expertise upon completing an additional ACA level 2 kayak guide certification, allowed her to fill multiple roles including; SUP yoga instructor, tour guide, kayak and SUP instructor, and head of social media marketing for two years. Her ability to adapt and contribute in various capacities showcased her dedication to sharing her knowledge and passion with others.
